Beaulieu Vineyard 2006 Reserve Pinot Noir, Carneros

This Pinot Noir was on our menu for a recent light dinner with a friend. We enjoyed a light salad and corn chowder soup along with the decanted BV Reserve Pinot.
The wine is medium bodied with rich fruit aromas. On the palate it has flavor notes of dried raspberries and blueberries.
There is a touch of cocoa and spice on the finish. This is a well-structured wine with soft tannins.
Beaulieu has more than 100 years of experience making wine in the Napa Valley and it shows with their line of reserve wines. This is a tasty glass, but we deemed it less than awesome. The wine can be found for about $45.
