Looking for a truly “wild” experience? Try a wine tasting at the Toledo Zoo. Each evening is based on a unique theme and is spent at a different location at the Zoo. At each event you will enjoy a delectable mix of wine tasting, hors d’oeuvres, live music, and socializing.
Here are the details on the 2014 events:
Valentine’s Day Wine & Dine – February 14 – SOLD OUT
Spring Alive: Fairytales, Fables, & Flowers – 7:00 – 9:00 PM, Friday, March 1. $40 for Toledo Zoo members, $45 for non-members
Appetizers: Sausage en croute, Roasted vegetable trays, Roasted grape and brie, finger sandwiches, Cajun Crab dip, and Fruit trays.
Wines: Fancy Pants Pinot Grigio, Noble Vines 446 Chardonnay, The Seeker Rose, Discoveries Moscato, Dreaming Tree White, Superstition White Blend, Lock and Key Meritage, Lost Angel Pinot Noir, Worlds End Cabernet, Carmen Petite Syrah, Lucky County Shiraz and 19 Crimes Red Blend.
Entertainment: Cooking demonstrations by the Toledo Zoo’s Executive Chef, Sam Misiura . Asteria String Quartet
Flight – 7:00 – 9:00 PM, Friday, May 2. Aviary Tour then “migrate” to the Lodge. $40 for Toledo Zoo members, $45 for non-members
Appetizers in the Lodge: Pesto chicken salad, grilled bread, Polenta rounds with roasted pepper mousse, fried capers, Lamb and mint rissoles with beet tzatiki, Giardeniera Chocolate bark.
