Tricia Rasar and Bowling Green Beverage have announced two upcoming wine tastings sure to tickle the fancy of wine lovers. On Tuesday, April 2, at 6:00 PM, the Byrnes Heatherdowns Business Association is hosting an "Island Get Away Tasting" at Capers Pizza Bar, S. Byrne Rd, (419) 389-9900 . Cost is 25$ per person and includes food and wines from the islands and Peninsulas of the Great Lakes. Wineries include L. Mawby of the Leelenau Peninsula, Heinemans winery on Put-n-Bay, and Pelee Island Winery. Reservations are recommended.
The second event is at Zinful Wine Bar and Restaurant, Dutch Rd. Waterville (419) 878-9463 on Wednesday, April 10, at 6:00 PM.The theme is "the best wines you have never heard of.” Prepare to explore grape varieties and growing areas of Europe that are rare gems!
