Hard to believe it's been one year since the curtain rose on Toledo Wine and Vines. We're going to celebrate in style by sharing some wine booty thanks to our friends at Wine Fabrications, a cool wine accessory company in Seattle.
We have some fans at Wine Fabrications (we met at the North American Wine Bloggers Conference in Washington State) and they have agreed to provide three really fantastic prizes for our contest. Let me share the rules of our little game and then I'll tell you about the goodies.
Since we began on September 13, 2009, we've had 367 posts and 10,128 visitors -- wait, just got another one, make that 10,129. We've shared our love of the world of wine and would like you to share too. Here's how to enter the contest -- it's really easy:
3. Submit a short write-up (no more than 250 words) on your favorite wine.
4. Include a digital photo (should be of the wine or wine related).
7. Entries must be e-mailed to twav@att.net.
There will be a first, second and third prize:
First prize: Vinturi Aerator (Red Wine). Wine needs to breathe to open up, release its intended aromas and of course make it taste better. Vinturi's patent pending design speeds up this process by instantly aerating wine with ease and convenience. Your wine will have received the perfect amount of aeration by the time you are done pouring a glass. Includes base, pouch, and filter screen. I've got one of these and it has changed how I drink wine. It really works.
Second prize: Soiree Aerator. A person can never get too much aeration, right? This handy aerator was all the buzz at the North American Wine Bloggers Conference. This classy aerator is a gift worthy crystal ball that can show you all the complexities of the wine you are about to drink. Fitting securely on the bottle top, it pours and decants in one step. Soiree takes the fuss out of traditional decanting and Let the awesomeness begin! Includes gaskets for a universal fit, instructions, bottle stopper and stand.
So there you have it -- probably the easiest contest you'll ever find. All you have to do is enjoy your favorite wine and then tell us about it.
Thanks for reading. It has been a fun first year. A tip of the cap also to our TWAV tasting team who has contributed photos, run the Facebook page and contributed outstanding stories.
Cheers and good luck.
